Accommodation

All costs (travel, accommodation or subsistence) related to participation in the conference must be covered by the participant, regardless of the acceptance of the proposal. SAERA is not liable and holds no responsibility for any of these costs.  Delegates should contact the conference hotel (Boardwalk Hotel) directly should they wish to reside there or make alternative arrangements. 

A wide range of Guesthouses and Bed & Breakfast options exist in the close vicinity of Humewood and Summerstrand.  These can easily be found via the various booking websites such as Lekkerslaap, SafariNow.com, TripAdvisor.com, and Booking.com.  Options range from budget-friendly to upscale, with varying amenities like swimming pools, free Wi-Fi, and proximity to beaches and the Boardwalk. 

Accommodation Options
A number of accommodation options are available for delegates attending the conference. Delegates are encouraged to make their accommodation arrangements as early as possible.
The following options are available:
  • Boardwalk Hotel: 60 rooms available at R1,950 per person per night. This is the recommended option and offers the most favourable rate.
  • Garden Court: Best available rate of R2,114.25 per night, with 50 rooms available.
  • City Lodge: Various room options and rates are available, including room-only and bed-and-breakfast options. Rates range from R1,975 to R2,710 per night, depending on room type and occupancy.
  • Capital Hotel Boardwalk: 50 rooms available at R2,450 per night.
