All costs (travel, accommodation or subsistence) related to participation in the conference must be covered by the participant, regardless of the acceptance of the proposal. SAERA is not liable and holds no responsibility for any of these costs.  Delegates should contact the conference hotel (Boardwalk Hotel) directly should they wish to reside there or make alternative arrangements. 

A wide range of Guesthouses and Bed & Breakfast options exist in the close vicinity of Humewood and Summerstrand.  These can easily be found via the various booking websites such as Lekkerslaap, SafariNow.com, TripAdvisor.com, and Booking.com.  Options range from budget-friendly to upscale, with varying amenities like swimming pools, free Wi-Fi, and proximity to beaches and the Boardwalk.

We are pleased to inform you that accommodation reservations for the SAERA 2026 meeting, taking place from 9–12 November 2026 in Gqeberha, are now open.
Special accommodation rates have been negotiated exclusively for SAERA delegates at the following hotels:
